Unfortunately Beachbabes have decided to pull out of this season's Winter League. They'll be in touch with everyone and will be honouring their umpiring commitments for the rest of the season. Teams in Division 5 who were due to play Beachbabes will now have a bye, but will still be expected to supply an umpire. As this has occurred part way through the season the committee have decided that the fairest thing to do is to nullify any matches Beachbabes have played so far.

The weather forecast for the coming weekend (4/5 February 2012) doesn’t look promising for netball.
There is a “snow phone” in operation – 07548 525557. Someone will check courts at both Milton on Saturday and Impington on Sunday and a message will be recorded on the phone. The message should be on there by 9.00am on the morning of the matches letting you know whether or not the courts are playable.
Please DO NOT leave a message on this phone as it is purely for information only and you will NOT be called back.
If games have to be rearranged due to the weather, you will have two weeks (as per the league rules) to rearrange your matches and umpires. If you rearrange your match and play at the original venue, you should inform them that the match could not go ahead due to bad weather conditions and you should not be charged for rebooking.
Impington Sports Centre: 01223 200415/200404 Milton Community Centre: 01223 862763
If the bad weather continues, the Committee will look at extending the length of time you will need to have the matches played by.

Following the consultation e-mail sent on 11th October a number of Sunday matches played at Milton central venue will change from 1.30 and 3.00 to 1.00 and 2.30pm.
Initially County were using the courts before us and we had assumed that their matches would run on for longer. This is not the case so it would seem a good idea to bring the matches forward so that players and umpires who are at County AND League matches don’t have to hang around for as long.
The dates in question are:
- 6 November
- 8 January
- 26 February
- 11 March
- 25 March
The fixture list on the website has been adjusted accordingly.

Cambridge City Korfball Club thought you might like to know that they have quite a few netballers playing for them already and within the Cambridge Korfball league. They wondered if anyone here may like to join them. Gavin Belsham sent me this document for you to look at http://www.cdnl.org/images/stories/CCKC%20Poster.pdf and their website is: http://www.camcitykorf.co.uk/ Andy |
