Another bumper crop of teams have entered this year with 64 teams playing this year.  That's 262 matches to be played over the Summer Smile

As per previous years, youths (ie years 10, 11 and above) will still be incorporated into the adult divisions, but juniors will be run as a separate division with players from current years 7, 8 and 9.  As there are now 10 junior teams, they will play each other once this year instead of twice as last year..

All adult teams will play each other once, thus ensuring that the final league positions are a fair reflection of that team's performance throughout the summer.

The timings of matches as follows:

o                   6.00 Junior matches, 2x14 minutes

o                   6.35 Adult matches 2x19 minutes

o                   7.20 Adult matches 2x19 minutes

o                   8.05 Adult matches 2x19 minutes

o                   8.50 Adult matches 2x19 minutes

There will be a 2 minute break at half time and 5 minutes between matches so teams will need to make sure they arrive at least 15 minutes before their allocated match time to take to court promptly, bibbed up, umpires ready and having already taken a toss with the opposing team.

Matches will be centrally timed in order to keep games to time – there will be an initial hooter to remind players to take to court and a second hooter to mark the start of the match.

As there are so many players, umpires and spectators expected at the courts on a Thursday night, if you can car share please do as parking is limited.

Results will be posted on the website weekly (www.cdnl.org) so please make sure you put your score cards in the box at the end of your game.  This can be found just outside the court gates on the fence

Although Summer League is a more relaxed playing environment than Winter League, please remember than England Netball and CDNL rules still apply (please see website for details).  So no jewellery, long nails or baseball caps ladies Wink

Good luck to you all.
